We know you’re excited to receive your Kalu Interiors shipment as soon as possible, that is why we have worked hard to create a range of shipping methods that are quick and cost effective! Please note our current shipping services are only available to select Victorian Metro postcodes. You can check the eligibility of each service for you using our postcode checking tool below.
Fast And Free Shipping, Guaranteed 72 Business Hour Delivery
We are super excited to present to you our fast and free shipping option! For all orders over the value of $2500 dollars, we guarantee 72 business hours free delivery from the time the order is received.
Standard Delivery
We offer a standard delivery service in which you can expect to receive your items in 5-10 business days after we receive confirmation of your order. The cost of standard delivery will depend on the size and quantity of the items ordered. You can check the cost of this at checkout with the shipping estimator.
Delivery + Build & Rubbish Removal
As an add on to your delivery service, Kalu Interiors provides a delivery + build and rubbish removal service. For each item at checkout, you have the option to apply this service. We will build out and remove any rubbish for any items that have this option ticked. Please note Kalu Interiors is not currently servicing all of Victoria and does not ship interstate currently. We are looking to expand the regions we deliver to soon. If your address is not currently being delivered to, please feel free to give us a call and we will seek to find a solution for you.
Kalu Interiors Shipping/ Delivery Policy
Please make sure to read our delivery policy so we can ensure a smooth and successful delivery for you as soon as possible.
When Do We Deliver?
- Kalu Interiors wants to give you the best chance to be present at home for when your new delivery comes! As such, we deliver 6 days a week from Monday through to Saturday.
- Please note delivery outside of business hours is possible. If this is needed, please mention it to us when we get in touch with you to confirm the delivery date.
Scheduling Delivery
- Once your order is confirmed, we will call you or email you to confirm that you have provided us the correct address. Please note we do this to avoid any confusion or added cost in the case that a wrong address is provided.
- When we contact you, we will arrange a date to deliver your order. It is our preference that the individual named on the invoice is present at this time, or otherwise an adult over the age of 18 is present to take the delivery. If you cannot be home during the time of delivery, we can arrange an Authority To Leave (ATL). You can read more about this in the section dedicated to ATL’s below.
- Please be mindful of our shipping times which are listed above. If you wish to schedule a delivery later than the time frames specified, you can do so when we get in touch with you for delivery.
- Please note if you need to delay delivery for more than 2 months after the item is purchased, a holding fee of 5% of the order amount will need to be paid on a monthly basis.
- Please note for express deliveries, we will call you and/ or email you within 24 business hours to confirm your address. If you do not confirm your address within 24 hours, your express delivery policy will be delayed and we will seek to alternatively deliver as soon as possible.
- Once we arrange a delivery date, we will give you 1-2 hours notice before we deliver. If a delivery needs to be rescheduled, please let us know at least 24 hours beforehand otherwise a reschedule fee may be added to the order.
- If no one is present during the scheduled delivery time, we will reschedule your delivery however a $90 dollar re-delivery cost will be incurred.
- If your property has difficult access, please let us know when we reach out to confirm your delivery. We require you to notify us of any difficulties regarding parking or access to high rise apartments.
Accepting A Delivery
- A. When accepting a delivery, please ensure that all items are received before signing off on the delivery. We will not accept any claims of missing items once you have signed off on the delivery. Any missing items must be reported to our delivery partners amongst delivery.
- Any Damages likely caused by the delivery of the item must be raised to Kalu Interiors with 24 hours of delivering the items. No claims made after a 24 hour window will be considered.
Warehouse Pick Up
Kalu Interiors provides an option for free warehouse pick ups from our warehousing facility in Pascoe Vale Vic 3044.
We are able to assist with the loading of any products from our warehouse.
Limitations On Addresses/ Delivery
- Please note that due to the size and nature of the items we sell, we do not ship to PO Boxes. If a PO Box is specified on any orders we receive, we will contact you to provide an alternative residential address.
- Kalu Interiors currently only services select Metro Melbourne areas. We are looking into expanding our delivery radius soon.
- Kalu Interiors does not currently ship interstate outside of Victoria. We are looking into this option soon.
- With Section B and C above, you are more than welcome to call us to work out a suitable arrangement if we are not currently servicing your area.
Authority To Leave (ATL)
- If you anticipate that you will not be able to take delivery of your items in person, you can arrange an Authority To Leave. In this case, we will deliver the items to the property specified without the need for anyone to be present and sign at the time of delivery.
- Our delivery partners will take photographic evidence of the items being delivered.
- Please note that once the items are delivered under the circumstances of an ATL, Kalu Interiors is not liable for the loss or damage of any furniture delivered.
General Delivery Rules
- Our delivery fee is non-negotiable and non-refundable in the case that a change of mind has been made by the customer and approved by Kalu Interiors.
- Unless you have selected a premium delivery service where we build your furniture and remove any rubbish, our delivery partners will offer delivery to your door.
- We will climb a maximum of 4 flights of stairs to deliver your items. If your address has more than 4 flights of stairs to climb, we reserve the right to cancel and refund your order unless an alternative solution has been arranged.
- In situations where an elevator may need to be utilised, it is the purchasers responsibility to provide our delivery partners access to the lifts. If a re-delivery is needed as we cannot access the lifts, a flat rate fee of $90 will be charged.
- It is the purchasers responsibility to ensure that there is sufficient space through hallways and doors for the items to be delivered. We put the sizes of boxes on our ad descriptions. Any cost incurred as a result of insufficient space or access may be passed onto the customer.
- Kalu Interiors reserves the right to cancel and refund orders if the delivery address puts the goods at high risk of being damaged.
- Kalu Interiors reserves the right to cancel and refund any orders placed from outside of our delivery radius.
- Kalu Interiors is not liable for any major events which may disrupt the ability of your items to be delivered within the specified time frame. We will work to delivery your goods as soon as possible in the event of an unforeseen circumstance.
